Asparagus has sprouted very early due to the warmer weather
Planted peas and spinach - both are sprouting
Planted 250 new strawberry plants as some where > 5 years old and supposed to last 3
They were very crispy looking in Feb, but with some moisture they started to perk up
Tomato and pepper seedlings are looking good
No sale this year
We are donating the extra plants to Backpack Society, Journey with Migrant families and cars at the Food Bank of the Rockies
All the dry weeds are cleared out of the garden
Tomato area is composted and fabric is down to help with weeds
Fences are fixed
Started wood chip paths inside the fences
We are looking for volunteers to help us this growing season (no previous gardening experience required). If you're interested in helping out with this year's Grace Garden, or would like to complete CSA work hours, please join us on the following days:
May 16th @ 10:00 AM
On each of these days, you can expect to be tilling crops, spreading compost, laying irrigation, planting seeds, and more.
