Feel the Joy of Serving
Have you ever noticed how a simple smile can change someone’s day? Science tells us that smiling not only lifts the mood of the person receiving it but also brings joy to the one offering it. It reduces stress, boosts endorphins, and strengthens our connections.
We invite you to experience this joy firsthand by serving as a Sunday Morning Host. When you serve, you’re doing more than offering a greeting—you’re creating a space where people feel welcome, connected, and cared for. And here’s the beautiful part: as you extend grace to others, you’ll find your own heart filled with deeper joy and connection.
Serving as a Host is a meaningful way to support the life of Grace. From offering a warm smile at the door, to helping with the offering, to assisting with one of our ministries or outreach programs, every act of service reflects Christ’s love and grace.
We’d love for you to find your place to serve within our vibrant faith community. Explore opportunities today, and join us in extending Christ’s love by helping others feel welcomed, cared for, and connected.

What is a Host?
Our Sunday Morning Hosts is a group of two or more people who feel called to serve by creating a warm and welcoming environment on Sunday mornings as greeters and ushers. Our Hosts play a big role in making Sunday mornings at Grace feel warm and inviting.
Hosts welcome others, assist during services, and foster meaningful connections within the congregation and with visitors alike. Whether greeting at the door, supporting worship as ushers, or guiding young acolytes, our Sunday Morning Hosts play an essential role in nurturing connections that make Grace feel like home.
What do they do?
From offering a friendly welcome to lending a hand during worship, these small acts of service help create a meaningful and joyful experience for everyone who walks through our doors. Here’s how you can be part of it:
Greet with a Smile: Be the friendly face that brightens someone’s Sunday! A warm smile and a cheerful hello go a long way in helping everyone feel comfortable and welcome.
Be a Helping Hand: From passing the offering plates to opening doors, you’ll help make the service run smoothly in simple but meaningful ways.
Shine the Light: Adults and kids (7 and up) can take part in the special tradition of lighting and extinguishing the candles—a beautiful way to set the tone for worship and close it with grace.
But I'm not a teacher?
Good news—you don’t have to be!
We provide the curriculum, so your role is simply to guide kids through the content, encourage their curiosity, and create a space where they feel loved and excited to grow in their faith.
All it takes is a caring heart, a willingness to serve, and a desire to share God’s love with the next generation. Your presence makes a bigger impact than you think!
There will always be two Lesson Guides so you'll never serve alone!
